The film "Eden: Lost in music" (2014) directed by Mia Hansen-Løve takes place in the historical context of the French electronic music scene of the 1990s and early 2000s.

The story takes place over two decades, from 1992 to 2013, and draws on the experience of her brother, the French DJ and producer Sven Løve, who was a leading figure in the Parisian electronic music scene of the 1990s. The film shows how electronic music evolved in France during that period, from the early days of house and techno, to the rise of new genres such as French Touch and electroclash.

In addition to the music scene, the film also addresses other social and cultural issues of the time, such as the rise of rave culture, the relationship between art and drugs, and the struggle to find a place in the world as a young and ambitious artist.

CREATIVE CONCEPT & NARRATIVE

"Órbita Decadente" depicts the decline and decadence of the French music scene in the 1990s, as well as the exhaustion and disillusionment of the characters as the years go by and their dreams and ambitions seem to fall further and further out of reach.as the years go by and their dreams and ambitions seem further and further out of reach. The term "orbit" suggests the trajectory of a celestial body as it loses energy and eventually drifts or crashes, which could symbolise the loss of creative drive andthe downfall of characters in the music industry, as well as the stagnation and constant looping of Paul's life. The word "decadent", on the other hand, evokes the idea of corruption, degeneration and cultural and social decadence, which could reflect the characters' disillusionment and disenchantment with the music scene and society in general, as well as in the protagonist's personal life.
